Anime Galaxies beginner guide: what to do in your first hours, which starter units to keep, how gems and Trait Crystals work and which modes to run first.

This Anime Galaxies beginner guide covers your first hours in the Roblox tower defense by Champions TD: what to do before you spend anything, which units to keep, how gems and Trait Crystals work and which modes to run first. We have not tested it in game; the numbers come from published guides and creator videos, and the newest version is Anime Galaxies Update 0.5. The 2021 Roblox game of the same name and Anime Galaxy Simulator are different games.

What Anime Galaxies is and how to play it

You summon anime-parody units from rotating banners, place them along the enemy path and defend a base across anime worlds. The game was created on Roblox on October 14, 2026 and opened around October 17. Units come in Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic and Secret rarities, with Shiny units to chase on top. During a match you earn in-run money, mostly from farm units, and spend it to place and upgrade units. This Anime Galaxies wiki uses the in-game parody names, such as Sokonu (Sukuna).

Your first hour: the Anime Galaxies beginner guide checklist

  1. Redeem codes first. Walk to the CODES fountain in the main lobby, near the Challenges area and left of Summon, and type each code exactly as written. Most recent codes need player level 25, one needs 67 and one needs 100, so a failed code is often a level problem. The Anime Galaxies codes page lists every requirement and reward.
  2. Join the Champions TD Roblox group and the Anime Galaxies Discord. New codes and update notes arrive in its announcement and update-log channels, and the Roblox listing mentions perks for group members.
  3. Check a banner before spending gems: Mythic, Secret and Shiny units are the ones worth chasing. No reliable source gives regular summon prices or rates yet, so we list none.

Anime Galaxies starter units: what to keep and when to replace them

This Anime Galaxies beginner guide follows games.gg here: it describes the four Rare starters (San-G, Zorto, Soskee and Sakoora) as units to replace immediately and the four Epic ones (Gowko, Itodoki, Hippo and Vegira) as early-game filler. Two units are the exceptions.

UnitRarityWhy beginners keep it
Spedwag (Speedwagon)EpicThe one farm unit every guide names. It earns the money that pays for the rest of your team.
FojiLegendaryHits air and ground and applies a 60% slow for 3 seconds, at most once every 6 seconds. Guides recommend him against flying enemies.

Replace the placeholders as better units arrive and keep Spedwag for the economy. The Anime Galaxies tier list shows where each unit lands, the Anime Galaxies units hub covers the roster, and the Anime Galaxies air units guide covers fliers.

How gems, Trait Crystals and stat items work

Gems summon units from banners. The Roblox listing says they come from quests, codes and the Season Pass. Rainbow Stars are a second summon currency we have only seen in codes.

Trait Crystals go into one unit, and traits are chosen, not rolled. On that unit, 10 crystals unlock a Rare pick, 30 an Epic pick, 100 a Legendary pick and 400 a Mythic pick; the Trait Changer swaps your active trait within a rarity you have reached. The Anime Galaxies beginner guide rule follows: milestones count crystals on a single unit, so spend them on one main unit. See Anime Galaxies traits for the full list. The Galactic trait gives about +250% damage but allows only one copy of the unit, while the Chosen trait adds damage, shorter cooldowns and range without that limit.

Stat Tokens reroll a unit's stats at the lobby reroll station, and Stat Locks keep a good stat in place while the others are rerolled.

Which modes to run first

ModeWhat it gives
Story, then NightmareNightmare is the harder version of Story with bigger rewards.
ChallengesA new challenge every 15 minutes, plus daily and weekly challenges with bonus rewards.
InfiniteEndless waves. Namek Portals can drop, the route to Freezo; Destructoid prints a 1% drop every 5 waves.
EndlessMuzan Invitations drop. At wave 49 you can use one to fight Demon King on wave 50, with a 20% unlock chance per Destructoid.
Anime Galaxies Battle TowerOpen to every player. Win battles in a row for Battle Points; the shop lists Stat Tokens, Stat Locks, Trait Crystals and the Trait Changer, plus the Secret Bald Hero after you clear battle 50 (DomiBlox).

Update 0.5 also added Auto Play, saved per map with styles such as Balance, Greedy, Safe and Rush (DomiBlox).

Anime Galaxies beginner guide mistakes that slow you down

  • Spreading Trait Crystals across several units, which delays every milestone.
  • Putting Galactic on a unit you want to place twice. It allows one copy.
  • Expecting Freezo or Demon King from Story. Sources tie them to Infinite and Endless.
  • Trying codes from old lists, some of which mix in the 2021 game's codes.

Anime Galaxies Beginner Guide FAQ

What should I do first in Anime Galaxies?

The short Anime Galaxies beginner guide order: redeem codes at the lobby CODES fountain, join the Discord, then clear Story. Keep your gems for a banner with a unit you want.

What is the best starter unit?

Guides keep Spedwag, the Epic farm unit, and Foji, a Legendary that also hits air. The other Rare and Epic starters are placeholders.

How do I get more gems?

Quests, codes and the Season Pass give gems. SabariBlox's video shows weekly Battle Tower leaderboard prizes of 300 to 5,000 gems.

How do I get Trait Crystals?

Several codes give 25 to 150 each. The Battle Points shop lists Trait Crystals, and SabariBlox calls the tower a good way to farm them. Prices are not shown yet.
